We serve breakfast to residents and non-residents from 7am until 10am Monday to Friday, from 7am until 10.30am on Saturday and from 8am until 10.30am on Sunday.


Residents can start with a refreshing glass of fruit juice, a selection of cereals, yoghurts and toast and quality preserves. Follow this with your choice from the hot selection, all cooked to order.


Our traditional English breakfast consists of local butcher’s sausage and bacon, portabello mushroom, grilled tomato, toast and either poached, scrambled or fried eggs. If you would rather have something lighter so you don’t stay full until 2pm (guests quotes!) then there are many more choices such as eggs benedict,  porridge, eggs royale and vegetarian eggs benedict.


Lunch and dinner

We focus on serving hearty, quality, traditional classics. Our home made seasonal specials centre are comfort food dishes that give you a hug! Weekly changing pie, winter warmer, fish cake, hot sponge pudding and cheesecake. Current favourites include home made beef burgers, chicken breast burgers, chargrilled vegetable and halloumi stack burgers and a vegan stack, a braised gammon hock with a maple syrup and wholegrain mustard glaze (it’s prehistoric!), home made chicken kiev and salmon en papillote.

We have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan choices available on our standard menu but should you find any dietary requirements aren’t catered for, just let us know your needs and we will do our best to create something for you.

Our children’s menu is home made with choices including beef burger, sausage and mash, fish and chips and tomato pasta.

We serve our main menu from midday until 3pm and 5pm to 9pm, Monday to Thursday and midday until 9.30pm on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday being served until 6pm.


Our unique sharing roasts are the best sociable experience for friends and family and great value for money. We serve these any days of the week but must be booked 48 hours in advance.

Our menu changes seasonally and according to produce available. Check out our special events page for seasonal menus such as Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas parties.

We are lucky to be one of the only properties in town to benefit from big, open spaces for larger groups of guests so can happily accommodate groups up to about 40 people. We cater for wakes, christenings, family dinners, birthday dinners and any special occasions you can conjure up to come and visit! As a starting point we offer a buffet menu but also can tailor our main course menu for your event too. As always, just give us a call to arrange a tailor made solution.
